Does it remove limescale that's already there?
No — and we won't pretend otherwise. euroguard softens incoming water so new scale forms far more slowly. Existing scale inside your kettle or appliances still needs descaling once, after which softer water keeps it from coming back as quickly.
How does softening actually work?
Through ion exchange. The cartridge media swaps the calcium and magnesium that cause hardness for other ions, leaving water that's softer and far less prone to scaling. There's no polyphosphate involved.
Will it purify my water or change the TDS?
euroguard is a softener, not a purifier. It targets hardness, so it only very slightly changes total dissolved solids (TDS). If your priority is broad contaminant reduction rather than scale, a softener isn't the right tool.
