The euroguard fits 99% of standard UK and US taps. Three universal adapters are included covering different thread sizes (M22 male, M24 female, M22 female). You'll find one that fits unless you have a pull-out spray tap, a designer non-threaded tap, or an unusually shaped tap. If you're unsure, take our 2-minute compatibility quiz before ordering.

The cartridge uses a three-stage system: a diatomaceous ceramic outer shell (filters down to 0.1 micron — captures sediment, rust, microplastics and bacteria), an activated coconut shell carbon core (reduces chlorine, PFAS, pesticides, VOCs and the chemical taste), and a stainless steel base for a leak-free seal. It does not remove essential minerals like calcium and magnesium — those pass through naturally.

The euroguard has a built-in diverter switch — flick filtered mode on for drinking and cooking water, flick it off for unfiltered full-pressure flow when you're rinsing dishes or filling a sink. In filtered mode, flow is around 2 litres per minute (faster than a Brita jug, slower than full mains). When you don't need filtered water, you get full pressure.

Partially. The ceramic outer shell is washable — when flow slows due to sediment buildup, you can scrub it lightly under running water to restore flow. However, the activated carbon core inside has a fixed adsorption capacity and cannot be regenerated, so you'll still need to replace the cartridge on schedule.

Take it with you. The filter unscrews from your tap in seconds and refits onto your new tap with the included adapters. Many of our customers are renters specifically because of this. Update your delivery address in your account and your cartridges follow you.

The stainless steel housing has a life time warranty with subscrription. If you don't like it within 30 days, email support and we'll arrange a free return — including the cartridge you've used. No questions asked. We can offer this because returns are very rare.
