I had doubts before with faster filtration but got them tested and they passed . They are good.
It was worth the additional price , I wanted to buy the transparent tap separately but it costed more. And this one costs me much lesser than other brands. And the quality is excellent.
In the past I have used berkey, and not able to see the water level lead to flooding of the kitchen multiple times , this completely solved it.
I was looking at berkey and berkfeld filters but this one I found to be much superior and better priced. And quality of water is at par. Me and my husband love it. And m told its designed in UK.
Update, I got an email shortly after writing this review. There is no mineral pad, it's part of the filter and it is the wording of the instructions that are confusing. I've been told the instructions will be improved shortly. The person I emailed with was helpful and it was an actual person rather than some auto reply rubbish, which is good. The filter is going well and I really do prefer the taste and feel of the water now. For 4 of us drinking it and using it for boiling veg etc, we are having to refill it once a day. It's Def improved our tap water, with all that is going on with tap water at the moment it's nice to have fresher and cleaner water. I got this filter cos I wanted to upgrade from Brita after reading it doesn't actually filter as it says, I also wanted to move away from plastic so bottled water and the Brita filter were not options. As this filter comes with a stand and a metal spigot as opposed to another well known brand that makes you buy them separate, this filter really is a better option.Having now spoken with staff and had my questions answered I am upgrading this rating to five stars because I love the filter and I now know if I have questions I can email. The filter arrived and I've put it all together and it all seems fine. The only thing is on page 2 of the manual where it says put it all together, there is a mineral pad mentioned. However I have no pad in my package. I thought the water filter retained the minerals during filtering or is the pad how it does that? I'm only giving 3 stars because the instructions for putting it together were terrible and now I have a question I can't find a number to call to get an answer, which is infuriating. I've sent an email but I want to know if I should have a pad in the package or not? It's pretty important because if the filter is removing minerals then that's not great and I need to add them back. There should be customer service after purchasing what is a fairly expensive item, however I can't get hold of anyone. If anyone can answer this question and inform me if I need a pad and how to get one that would be great.
This gravity-fed water filtration system is a thing of beauty. Love the mirror finish stainless steel housing. I will say the instructions were horrible for this thing and I ended up heading over to the internet to figure out how it goes together plus learned about priming the filters. There is a process to soak and rinse the filters before you first use them that was easy and probably is a must do so your water doesn't taste like carbon. The tank is 2.25 gallons so it's rather a large system. The filter does come with a stand so it's easy to get a cup under the spigot. Everything went together perfect, and the hardware is all metal and very nice. Once all set up and filled with water took about 30 minutes to filter the 2.25 gallons. It took a about 3 cycles for the water to taste perfect. It gets better and better the more you use it. Great for home use and even camping as the unit does collapse easily back into its original box which is a lot smaller than a case of water and you can have an unlimited supply of water. Easily recommend this product.
I love having this water filter system in my bedroom. It makes drinking more water easier for me and my husband. We drink water throughout the night and this makes it cost effective and easily ready for us. The water taste great and you can add ice or you want it chilled. I would recommend for anyone
We live in hurricane country and have a well, so having a way to filter water during an extended power outage is important. The instructions for this were a bit lacking, especially considering that some of the parts were different than described in the instructions on the back of the box. The picture shows a plastic spigot but it came with a metal one (which was great). It filtered the water fairly quickly. It comes with a nice little stand to keep it up higher so you can get a glass under the spigot more easily. All in all, a nice little gravity filter.
Let's break down what I like and what I don't like. What I like:- Construction is solid.- The filtered water (when it works...see picture) tastes great! What I don't like:- WHERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS!?!?! the only instructions I got was how to install the filter. But nothing tells you how to put the entire thing together. If you read this review, check their video they have and that will show you how it should be constructed.- One of the filters I got was broken. (it looks like the adhesive that kept it attached to the mounting mechanism gave out). I bought a different filter and it is working fine now.- One thing does bother me about their product listing... I am going to quote them directly "An embossed logo on a product is not just a design element, it is a mark of authenticity. When you purchase a product with an embossed logo, you can be sure that it is a genuine product from a trusted brand. " -- This statement will never ever be true. Just because there is an embossed logo...doesn't mean it is from a trusted brand and doesn't mean your brand is trust worthy. I know this might sound like a silly thing to include here... but this claim is silly.Overall: After some hiccups with a broken filter and yoloing the overall construction it does work. I will say the water tastes great. But for the price we are paying there are somethings you just can't miss on... the instructions to set this up need to be clear. Also I am not a fan of a company saying "trust me bro" because of an embossed logo. Trust should be earned!
good
Excellent , water tastes really nice , thank you
Took a white arrive. But the water system is very good
I've been using a Britta water filter for years, but using a plastic jug along with plastic filters doesn't sit well with my desire to do more for the planet. Yes, I've eliminated using single use plastic bottles, but it was time to ditch the plastic for good.
After doing a lot of research on various gravity filters, I decided on Eurogard One. The water tastes clean and pure. The stainless steel container is sleek and well made, and the charcoal filters are more environmentally friendly. I was especially pleased to read that these filters have such a long life span, another bonus.
I was also pleased to find such great quality at a fraction of the cost of some other well known brands.
Extra note: the 6L is not small. I almost sent it back because of the size. I don't have a lot of kitchen space, but I decided it was worth the sacrifice of counter space and kept it. It would be great if a smaller 3-4L version were available for those with small spaces.
Easy to assemble and use. Very happy with our purchase. Bought the larger one to cope with summer visitors.
Easy to put together.looking forward to decent water.
Great
Very happy with eurogarde so simple to use no running costs and great tasting water
This was excellent value for money as it came with a stand and water viewer tap, where with others you have to pay for those extras. The first 6 litres flowed through quickly then it slowed to a trickle, but I think that is due to there being less pressure with less water. I had a question about long-term storage that was answered really quickly by the company. All in all, I'm very pleased with it
Lovely clean water from this filter system. But I had trouble understanding how to put it together. I would have preferred it to come with written and pictorial instructions! I hope I have done it correctly. It seems ok. I don’t know when to renew the actual filters.
Harder to put together than expected. Would have been helpful if the instruction leaflet had been loose within the package rather than inside the box for the filters. Tap hard to tighten as I don't have very strong wrists and in awkward position to use spanner. Priming the filters messy as didn't have the right type of tap in kitchen. Otherwise unit is good and customer service were very helpful.
Me and my family loves it.
I’m a Texan living in Miami, which means I’ve had opinions about water in two different states and let’s just say… my taste buds have been through it. 😅
I got this euroguard gravity water fitler with GravityPlus™ cartridges and now my water tastes like it came from a fancy hotel lobby… not a mysterious kitchen faucet. Setup was easy (and I’m the kind of person who still reads “Insert Tab A into Slot B” like it’s a thriller).
The flow rate is solid, the water tastes clean and smooth, and I swear my iced coffee is better, like it’s now wearing sunscreen and driving a convertible. Bonus: it looks good on the counter. Very “Miami aesthetic,” but with a Texas attitude.
If you’re tired of water that tastes like pool vibes (or regret), this is a win. I’d recommend it to my mom, my neighbor, and probably my barber because I talk to everyone down here. 5*
